AES global operates power plants throughout the world. In the area, AES Vice President, Weikko Wirta is in charge of Huntington Beach, Long Beach, and Redondo Beach powerplants, as well as having been responsible for the solar panels farms throughout Southern California. 

Weikko spans a career starting with the Merchant Marines and then with MIT. He is a well recognized expert in power management, generation, now responsible  for the largest  conversion from fossil fuel to natural gas in the United States at the Huntington Beach facility with the recent conversation he directed.
